DESCRIPTION
FIRST DAY: PUNO / UROS
We’ll pick you up from your hotels in Puno (10:00 am) to go to the port of Uros where we take a small motor boat, which will take us to the famous Uros Floating Islands (Uros Island "Aruma Uru ") (around 30 min trip) and then proceed to settle in the comfortable rooms. Local families will give us an explanation of the construction, traditions, and way of life of Uros islanders.
After lunch, we’ll travel on a famous boat made of reeds to put fishing nets (fishing),
Then see we’ll see how cut the reeds (for the construction of the same islands, handicrafts, etc.). Likewise, the islanders themselves will teach you to create your own crafts made from reeds. At night we will have a dinner, and then ¡We’ll rest on the Uros floating island!
SECOND DAY: UROS / LLACHON
Next day morning, we’ll proceed to pick up our fishing net and see the diversity of native fish of Lake Titicaca, then we have breakfast and finally by averaging 10 am we will go to the Peninsula of Llachon (2 hours travel time) to get to the port of the Peninsula, where families will welcome us, we will hike about 15 min. To reach family homes to accommodate and take our lunch is prepared with local products. You have the afternoon free to share their customs, traditions; activities with families, in coordination with us you can perform other optional activities (kayaking or sailing boats are not included). In the evening dinner with family and rest.
THIRD DAY: LLACHON / AMANTANI
After breakfast we will walk to the viewpoint of the Peninsula and then head to the port again to continue our trip to Amantani (45 min boat trip) arriving at midday around.
Walk (30 min uphill) to local houses in Amantani and take our Andean lunch prepared by the islanders. After, rest and settle in rooms, walk to the top of the island and see the Inca ceremonial temples Pachamama and Pachatata, remain to see one of the best sunsets of the World.
Then, we return to the local houses for dinner, and at night if you desire (optional) you can join to the “special welcome party” community organize for you.
FOURTH DAY: AMANTANI / TAQUILE / PUNO
After our breakfast, we descend to the port of Amantani (8 am) to take our boat towards the Taquile Island, the last island to visit, for walking 45 min to the main square, where we see a variety of crafts made by the islanders, a small museum, the local market and the best sights from this point.
After lunch, we will return to the Port of Taquile for taking the boat (1pm) for arriving to Puno at 4:00 pm approx.
