    INTRODUCTION

    In this tour, you will know as the main destination the island of Anapia, a virgin place (non-touristic island) that is exclusive for people that want to avoid the crowd of tourists that are in similar islands like Uros, Taquile or even Amantani. It won’t be only Anapia but other places like: Chucuito (Temple of fertility – Inca Uyo), Aramu Muru (God’s gate), and finally Juli churches.

    Tour departs at 7am from Puno city and you will get back to Puno at 5pm in Puno, you will sleep in Anapia Island. 

    DESCRIPTION

    Day 1

    In this tour we will pick you up at 7am for taking you to the city of Yunguyo; we will pass through different places like Chucuito (fertility Inca temple) and Aramu Muru (temple of the gods). Once in Yunguyo we will take you to Punta Hermosa (nearest port to Anapia). Families will receive us in the port and will take us to our rooms and provide us our lunch. We will have our period of resting, later in the afternoon we will share the moments with the family and explore the main plaza, cementery and other relevant places on the island; during the night, we will have our dinner and go to bed.

    Day 2

    At around 7am, we will have our breakfast, later we will take our sail boat that will take us to Yuspique, Other island where you will find a lot of vicuñas protected by the community, there, we will have the possibility to enjoy the views of Lake Titicaca, the snowcapped mountains of Bolivia and finally the agricultural system. Finally, we will arrive to the port, where the transportation takes us again to Puno, making a stop on Juli. We will arrive to Puno at 5pm around.

    8.30am Arrival to Aramu Muru and guided visit to the gate for around 30min.

    12.30am Arrival to Anapia island, welcome by the members of the families and settlement in local rooms.

    Why visit Anapia Island?

    This is a virgin destination, is out of traditional islands like Uros, Amantani, or Taquile. Rarely you will find tourist here. The beautiful of its landscapes (snowcapped mountains), vicuñas Andean camels, and its far away location, makes this place a jewel in the Lake.

    As well you take a look to the closest island called Yuspique, where you will find a lookout, a small beach and many vicuñas around.

    Why prices are so expensive?

    Due distances on land or water, make the prices increases too much, keep in mind that car transportation needs to go from Puno the first day, and the second as well (double trip); the motor boat will be private and you will have a private guide for the two days, so if you don’t speak Spanish, you’ll have a great friend (your guide) and also the host family. If you have the possibility, take a private tour it will make you know many things on the route as well, the visit is complement with some sights of temple of fertility in Chucuito, temple of gods in Aramu Muru and the stunning churches in Juli. In case this go out of your budget, check our low-budget program you have that reduces prices (it has some disadvantages as well).

    What kind of food do will I get?

    The food is bases on Andean products like potato, oca, dried potato, quinoa, King fish, beans, corn, Andean cheese combined with some vegetables and fruits.

    What should I take to the tour?

    You should take sunglasses, sun protection, bath suit (if you are brave enough to take a cold bath), power banks, camera, cap, clothing for cold temperature during nights and hot temperature during days.

    How is the type of lodging in Anapia?

    The lodging is basic, however they have hot shower and electric energy for you to charge your electronic devices.

    Family houses have running water

    The families accept 2 passengers per house, each room has two single beds, the bathroom is not private, is shared, families will provide you enough blankets for you to sleep comfortable.

    I see this destination is close to Bolivia, can you drop me off on the border Kasani, so I can continue my trip to Bolivia?

    Yes, is possible, drop you off in the Peruvian/Bolivian border of Kasani

    Are there some stores for me to buy some products?

    Yes, in Anapia there are small stores where you can buy water bottled, cookies, canned products, paper, etc. Prices here are expensive than in the city due all the logistic for getting products on the islands.

    INTRODUCTION

    Different from the 2d1n tour, in this case you will have more time to visit Anapia, it will be a richer experience, this tour is suggested for people want to have a full immersion on Anapia island.

    Apart from Anapia, you will know other touristic places like:Chucuito (Temple of fertility – Inca Uyo), Aramu Muru (God’s gate), and finally Juli churches.

    Tour will depart at 7am first day and will end the 3rd day at 1.30pm. You will sleep on this non-touristic island called Anapia for two days.

    DESCRIPTION

    Day 1

    In this tour we will pick you up at 7am for taking you to the city of Yunguyo; we will pass through different places like Chucuito (fertility Inca temple) and Aramu Muru (temple of the gods). Once in Yunguyo we will take you to Punta Hermosa (nearest port to Anapia). Families will receive us in the port and will take us to our rooms and provide us our lunch. We will have our period of resting, later in the afternoon we will share the moments with the family and explore the main plaza, cemetery and other relevant places on the island; during the night, we will have our dinner and go to bed.

    Day 2

    At around 7am, we will have our breakfast, later we will take our sail boat that will take us to Yuspique, Other island where you will find a lot of vicuñas protected by the community, there, we will have the possibility to enjoy the views of Lake Titicaca, the snowcapped mountains of Bolivia and finally the agricultural system. If you’re brave enough, you can take a bath in the small beach located there. Later we will return again to Anapia for lunch, during the afternoon the families will take us to the farms on the other side on the island, they will show us how they make agriculture, do activities related to livestock and finally we will return again to home for taking dinner.

    Day 3

    On this last day, after our breakfast, we will board to go to Punta Hermosa, where our driver will be waiting for us to take us to Puno, on the way we will make a stop on Juli to visiting the beautiful churches there. We will be arriving to Puno at 5pm

    DESCRIPTION

    In this service, you will use only Shared local services to get to Anapia and get back to Puno. This service only can depart on Thursday returning on Sunday.

    This service is given to all passengers that want to take a 4d relax days away from the city. In these 4 days, you will share beautiful moments with family hosts of this island.

    The departures are only on Thursday at around 9.30am, and you will be returning to Puno Sunday on 11am. (Schedules are referential only, due you take shared local services)

    A local guide from Puno will accompany only the first day from Puno to Yunguyo (where you will eat a lunch on a local market) Punta Hermosa (nearest port to get Anapia) and once in Anapia, the families will take care of you the 4 days, they speak only Spanish (so a basic Spanish is important to do this tour), they will accompany to you again on Sunday to the bus stop to cars to Puno. You will be dropped off in a local bus station in Puno.
