  • TOUR PACKAGE FROM PUNO TO LA PAZ (Description)

    First Day: Uros tour and bus to Copacabana (Shared basis)

    We start with Uros tour; we will pick you up from your downtown hotels at around 9am, to move to the port of Puno where we will take our motor boat, which will take us through his tour to the famous Uros Floating Islands.

    We will have a Spanish / English guide that will show you this beautiful place, explaining the life and history of these fascinating Uros islanders. This tour last for 3h30min approx., then, we will be back in Puno at around 12.30pm where you have free time for getting your lunch on downtown.

    At 1.30pm, we go to the main bus station for taking the bus that takes us to Copacabana city, a 3h30min journey to get to it. Once we arrive at around 6.30pm (Bolivian Hour), our local operator will contact you and will bring you details for the following tour.


    Second Day Sun island tour and bus to La Paz (Shared basis).

    For this tour, our local operator will pick you up at around 8 to 8.20am (Bolivian hour); from your hotel to main dock; then, we will departure to Sun Island (2h journey trip), we will arrive to Challapampa north community, where we will be welcomed by the local association of community tourism, we will know the system of this community.

    Then, we start with a guided tour through the north part of the Sun Island, where we will know the archeological places like “CHINKANA”, the sacred rock and the world famous “sun steps”. Lunch of traditional food known as “Apthapi” where we can share more with locals. Finally, we will be taking the boat towards Copacabana and arriving at around 4pm.

    At 6.30pm (Bolivian hour), we need to present by ourselves in Titicaca Bolivia bus station, for the service from Copacabana to La Paz.

    1er. Día: Itinerario.
    APPROX TIME ITINERARY
    08:45AM – 09:10AM Pick up of passengers from Puno hotels (according to your hotel we will program you the pickup time).
    09:30AM Departure to Uros floating islands.
    09:45AM Visit two Uros floating islands.
    12:15AM Return to Puno and transfers to hotels / main square.
    12:20AM Lunch on Puno city (not included).
    01:30PM (HP) Transfers to bus station.
    02:00PM (HP) Departure toward Copacabana.
    04:50PM (HB) Document processing on migrations offices Peru/Bolivia.
    06:30PM (HB) Arrival to local bus station and contact with our local operator in Copacabana.
    Itinerary day 2 (Bolivian hour)
    APPROX TIME ITINERARY
    08:00 – 08:15AM Pick up from downtown hotels to main dock in Copacabana.
    08:30AM Departure from Copacabana to Sun Island NORTH part (2h trip approx.).
    10:30AM Arrival to the community of Challapampa, welcome by the association.
    11:00AM Guide visit to the community and introduction of their life system (1 hour trekking towards Chincana, sacred rock, and the world famous “Sun Steps”, we visit the north part of the island through the local guides)
    12:30PM Andean lunch (Apthapi), integration activity with locals.
    01:30PM Return to Copacabana.
    04:00PM Arrival to Copacabana and end of tour.
    04:15PM free time for knowing better Copacabana by yourselves.

    06:30PM (HB) Departure from Copacabana towards La Paz.
    07:20PM (HB) Arrival to strait of Tiquina (at this point we will take small boats for crossing this part 10 min trip).

    • Bus tickets from Puno to Copacabana (Reservation fee, transfer from downtown hotels to bus station, embarkation tax on bus station).

    2nd. Day: Incluye.
    • Shared boat from Copacabana to Sun island North Part - Copacabana(just to inform you, in Copacabana quality of boats is less than Peruvian side).
    • English/Spanish speaking guide during your Sun Island tour.
    • Andean lunch Apthapi (Ocas, beans, boiled potatoes, boiled dry potatoes. Fried chees and roast beef).
    • Entrances fees to Sun Island.
    • Bus tickets from Copacabana to La Paz.
