    1st Day: Uros and Taquile Islands Full Day Tour

    We will begin this exciting journey by visiting the floating islands of Uros and Taquile Island. You will be picked up directly from your hotel and transferred to the city port to board the boat.

    Our first stop will be the floating islands of Uros, unique structures entirely made of totora reeds. Here, we will explore two of these islands, where you will learn about the fascinating traditions, customs, and lifestyle of the local inhabitants. You will also have the option to enjoy a ride on a traditional totora boat (optional and highly recommended).

    After the Uros visit, we will continue our journey to Taquile Island, one of the most beautiful locations on Lake Titicaca, thanks to its strategic location and breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, we will walk for approximately 30 minutes to a local restaurant, where we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. The menu includes grilled trout served with rice, potatoes, and salad, as well as a delightful quinoa soup, a regional specialty.

    After admiring the stunning scenery of Taquile, we will return to the city of Puno, where you can rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

    2nd Day: Isla del Sol Tour from Puno

    On this day, we will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel and transfer you to the bus station. From there, you will take a bus to the city of Copacabana, a journey of approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, one of our representatives will meet you to provide the necessary information for your Isla del Sol tour.

    Around 1:00 p.m. (Bolivian time), we will head to the port to board the boat that will take us to the Isla del Sol (southern part). During this visit, we will explore the famous Inca Staircase, the legendary fountains of water, and enjoy a spectacular view of the majestic Bolivian Andes Mountain Range.

    Finally, we will return to the city of Copacabana, where we will continue the journey by group bus to La Paz.

    1st Day: Itinerary

    06:50 AM - 07:10 AM Pickup of participants from hotels near the Plaza de Armas in Puno.
    07:35 AM Departure to the Floating Islands of Uros aboard a comfortable and safe boat.
    08:00 AM Guided tour of the Uros Islands, exploring their fascinating history, culture, and unique totora reed construction (approximate duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes).
    09:15 AM Start of the journey to Taquile Island, renowned for its rich textile tradition and stunning views.
    10:30 AM Arrival at Taquile. A 25-minute walk to a local restaurant.
    11:30 AM Informative session with the guide about the island’s traditions, customs, and crafts.
    12:30 PM Traditional lunch: Grilled trout or omelet, accompanied by quinoa soup and hot beverages.
    01:30 PM Free time to explore the island, enjoy the views, or purchase local handicrafts.
    02:30 PM Start of the return journey to Puno.
    03:50 PM - 04:00 PM Arrival in Puno and transfer back to the Plaza de Armas.
    04:50PM (HB) Document processing on migrations offices Peru/Bolivia.
    06:30PM (HB) Arrival to local bus station and contact with our local operator in Copacabana.

    06:30 AM Pickup from hotels and transfer to the bus station.
    07:30 AM Bus departure to Copacabana (approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes).
    12:00 PM Arrival in Copacabana. Assistance from our operator and lunch in Copacabana.
    01:30 PM Departure from Copacabana to Isla del Sol (approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes).
    03:15 PM Arrival at Isla del Sol (southern part). Guided tour of the Inca Staircase and water fountains.
    04:30 PM Return to Copacabana.
    06:00 PM Arrival in Copacabana and presentation to the bus terminal at Titicaca Bolivia (Av. 6 de Agosto with Av. 16 de Julio).
    06:30 PM Departure from Copacabana to La Paz.
    07:20 PM Arrival at the Strait of Tiquina. Disembark to take small boats for a 10-minute lake crossing.
    07:40 PM Continuation of the journey to La Paz.
    10:00 PM Arrival at the bus terminal in La Paz (Av. Uruguay corner Av. Perú).

This has been a most exciting way to see so much of Bolivia and its Sun Island. Ivan was very good very informative about everything on the way ,making sure everyone was ok. And giving us tips for eating etc. The driver we had the second day appointed by Incalake was very good , taking us to places we ask about when we had spare time but looking out for us the whole time.
