    To start the adventure, after picking up from your hotel, we leave the city of Cusco to take a road that will take us to our destination. During the trip we will visit important archaeological sites at the time of the Inca, the Quillarumiyoc archaeological site (this is the temple of the moon and fertility) and the archaeological site of Tarawasi (Inca Tambo) in these places our guide will give us to know the reason of its importance and the function that fulfilled each of them. Continuing up to 4100 meters, we reach the Chonta community, where we will have our lunch.

    Start walking on a wide path up to the Condor’s viewpoint Canyon, we will have a brief explanation and time to observe the flight of the Condor and the accompanying landscape. After the indicated time, we will return to the beginning of our trek to take the car and return to the city of Cusco. Upon arriving in Cusco we were left at Plaza Regocijo to finish our trip.

    • It is necessary:

      To do the tour, we recommend having a preliminary stage of acclimatization of 1 day, so that your body fits better during the walk, since we will be on a path of altitudes above 4000 masl. For this, we recommend drinking plenty of hot coca tea that will help a lot in the process of acclimatization.

      What to bring with you

    • A light backpack with a change of clothes for the whole period of the trek - prepare for a wide range of changes in temperature.
    • Rain gear (jacket and pants if you have them available) or rain poncho. Plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco for about $ 1.
    • Sturdy shoes, waterproof boots for trekking is advised. Extra socks are a must.
    • Warm clothes, including jacket, fleeces, gloves, scarf and hat
    • Camera, films and batteries (batteries consume more quickly under cold conditions).
    • Hat or cap to protect from sun, rain and cold.
    • Sunscreen and sunglasses.
    • Toilet paper
    • Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, fruit, granola, etc.
    • We suggest you bring water sterilizing tablets in case you pick up water from streams.
